EBIR S.L, a benchmark company in the search of innovations in the field of bathroom lighting, has successfully completed the project entitled “DESIGN AND PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT IN BATH LIGHTING.” There has been a close collaboration of AIDO (Technological Institute of Optics, Colour and Imaging) to carry out the project. The project was developed under the innovation support programme of InnoEmpresa 2010 Directed to the small and medium enterprises. The project is funded by IMPIVA and the European Development Fund (ERDF) within the ERDF Operational Programme of Valencia 2007-2013.
The objective of this project is to design and redesign bathroom lighting products in order to achieve optimal lighting with minimal consumption, as well as the design of a new catalogue with all the news. The ultimate goal is to market high quality products that comply with current regulations (Technical Building Code. Section HE3) and to provide adequate lighting in accordance with the use of the product.
The optical analysis (level of luminance, color rendering, glare control, etc.) is key to improving the lighting perception that EBIR seeks in order to give the product greater visual comfort. From EBIR experience, AIDO technical expertise and by supporting the market-leading tools for photometric calculation, we want to develop new concepts in the field of iluminación.
